CONGRATS to our female competitors who traveled up to Pleasanton, Ca this past Saturday to compete in the EPIC Summer Meltdown II!! They all did wonderful, had fun, and gave their all!! CONGRATS ladies on your hard work everyday and your efforts on the competition floor!

MENTAL TOUGHNESS 

Wikipedia's definition of mental toughness;

a collection of attributes that allow a person to persevere through difficult circumstances (such as difficult training or difficult competitive situations in games) and emerge without losing confidence.

Do you believe you are Mentally Tough?

Perhaps you're unsure whether or not you obtain mental toughness. Or, perhaps you believe you have the mental toughness to handle anything. But how do you know until you've been pushed to your limits?

Training mental toughness can be a tricky animal as it takes a lot of uncertainty, pain, heartache, sweat, blood and tears. You have to first be willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone, to a place that you are uncertain of the outcome, and the most scary to many, be willing to fail. That in itself can be a test of your mental toughness!

This past weekend, there was a lot of mental toughness witnessed. Our lady competitors at their event in Pleasanton who pushed beyond their limits through torn hands and pain. Uncertain if they could climb the rope again, or hit another ring muscle up under fatigue. But they pushed beyond the uncertainty and made it happen. This shows the growth of their mental toughness!

There was also a display of mental toughness at Dustyn Park's going away WOD on Sunday. Lot's of people had the, "I'm ready to quit" face on. But you kept on pushing through the pain. You knew that the other 20 people in the room were pushing through the same pain in support of one of our own, so you dug deep and kept pushing forward!

Those are just two examples of mental toughness that we witness here within our small C5 Community! I absolutely LOVE watching this group of individuals grow in their STRENGTH (Physically, Mentally, and Emotionally).

Keep pushing the limits and your growth will never stop!
