Everyone needs a support staff…

Who do you look for to give you what you need when it comes to encouragement, an ear, advice, support in your life of your dreams, your goals your workouts, or your sport of choice?

When we compete in CrossFit, or play a sport, chase our dreams or try new things in life; most of us have a group of people, small or large that we turn to for what we need to push us forward, keep us going or share our dreams with.

Do we all get what we truly need from that group or those people? Sometimes I wonder if we actually have articulated to them what we are looking for exactly and what we need to feel supported.

Even the very independent people on the planet need a friendly lift once in a while. Doing daily tasks, and chores are fine alone, we all can do that. But, when it comes to long term dreams, fitness goals, competing, playing sports or doing something CRAZY, being supported fills us up. It helps to guide us towards the belief that we CAN do something, we CAN accomplish a task, we CAN fulfill our dreams and attain our goals. Seems cheesy or corny to some, but having a team of people behind us who believe what we believe and like we believe, makes it that much easier to do or to strive for what we want.

Oh yeah, we can push ourselves or shoot for something, but doing it alone is a completely different experience than having friends, loved ones, teammates, or co-workers right there with you on your journey.

Look for support…

Be sure to be deliberate in what you need or want from the people closest to you.
