Sometime during the CrossFit journey, especially around the CrossFit Open, athletes tend to experience Personal Records (PR). We most definitely will surprise ourselves with some sort of new accomplishment every step of the way. Whether it’s your first muscle-up, consistent double-unders, pull-ups, correct form on an Olympic lift or you’re just getting yourself back in after an injury or time away.
Maybe you recently completed your On Ramp Program and wonder what’s next? Do you have new goals? Higher goals? Are you lacking the needed motivation to show up enough each week? Are you struggling to show up? No matter where you are on your own CrossFit path, the questions come quickly. The answers you’re looking for are inside you, somewhere, they just may be hiding underneath something, suffocated by something else or stuck behind a wall you cannot see. No matter what they are, getting to the box is the first thing, really the only thing you need. You will never run out of physical challenges, that’s one of the beauties of CrossFit. But, occasionally there will be mental challenges or blocks that you think can control your next move…don’t let them.
Trust yourself, and GO to the box…the answers will come, the walls will fall, the blocks will disappear and the success will appear. It’s not magic, it’s you, it’s in you, it’s in all of us…it’s your heart! When the little voice tries to talk you out of showing up, let your heart prevail, let your inner beast conquer that challenge.
It’s the absolute best thing you can do, the best thing you WILL do, and you WILL surprise yourself, if you just trust that inner beast!
