Did you ever know that you’re my hero? Everything I would like to be… A Hero is someone, someone who inspires others…
1. a person, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
2. another term for submarine sandwich.
Heroes are in your family.
Heroes are amongst your friends.
We meet Heroes where we exercise.
One of your co-workers might be your secret Hero.
A Manager or a boss could be a Hero. A teacher from your past or present may be your Hero.
A coach at your box, your gym, or for your team will be a Hero.
Heroes are everywhere. Shouldn't we all strive to be someone’s hero?
Everyone has someone they admire, whether you’re vocal about it or keep it to yourself. There’s a person out there you look up to, you strive to be like, someone who inspires you to work more, try harder or practice often!
That person also has a hero. It’s a healthy chain reaction.
You might not even know it, but there’s someone out there honoring you too. Are you the best you can be for yourself? Are you the best you can be for others? What kind of model are you? How’s your work ethic at the office, at home or at your CrossFit box? How do you speak to others? How do you treat those around you? I promise you, someone is watching you, listening to you, following your lead and hoping to do something the way you do.
I suggest we all try each day to do something we’re proud of, take a chance and consider those around you that are watching to be inspired, motivated or in plain admiration. They are out there, you just may not notice them.
It all begins with you, being your own hero. Cliche? Maybe! But, you've got to start somewhere, so start right there, in your heart, applaud yourself more often, it's contagious!
Act like a hero…you probably are one, (not a submarine sandwich)!
