noun;

1. a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions.

Finding your "balance", is the key to longevity, health and overall wellness. Just like nutrition and fitness programs are different for all of us depending on our individual goals and physical needs, so is our interpretation of "balance". We all live different lifestyles, have a different set of daily responsibilities and have different goals in life. 

While  training hard and being on a healthy nutrition plan are critical for your performance, getting adequate rest and recovery time is equally as important. How many days off do you take per week in relation to your training days? How many days do you get out of the box and enjoy doing outdoor activities? When was the last time you took a day off (like a real day off), shut off the phone and the laptop, got away from the stressors of life, and just enjoyed the day? 

Get out, relax, find some peace and clear your mind. Life's short, don't forget to stop and smell the roses along the way!…..or do handstands over a deadly bridge made of rock………..whichever is relaxing to you ;)
