EVOLUTION

We've recently had some behind the scenes evolution here at C5. Most of you who have been members here for any significant amount of time understand that we LOVE EVOLUTION! 

Unless you started with us prior to 2012, you have attended some type of On-Ramp Program. Whether it was a few 30min sessions to quickly review the basics of functional movement (2012-2013 era) or four, 90minute sessions overflowing with information, movement testing and education on our program, as well as an understanding of expectations from you, the athlete, as well as from us, the Coaches. 

This months program evolution will intro the C5 Comprehensive Fitness Assessment. 

The days of an On Ramp Program at C5 are officially behind us. Every single athlete that walks through the doors at C5 will undergo a Comprehensive Fitness Assessment to determine what level of athlete you are (based on the C5 CFA scoring system) so we can place you in the C5 Fitness Program that suits you best. The C5 CFA will look into four key areas; 

Body Composition & Fat Distribution will note your current physical state so you can measure changes over time based on changes to your nutrition and training routine.


Movement Analysis will identify imbalances from right to left and/or limitations in your range of motion to assist in injury prevention and overall health. It will clarify, and help you understand, the difference between 'stability' and 'mobility' and where each is needed, for you, the individual. 


Strength Assessment will measure current strength in six areas including (but not limited to); upper body pushing, upper body pulling, bending, squatting (single and double leg), and core.


Work Capacity Testing is designed to assess your overall ability to "get work done", utilizing various energy systems and time domains, based upon your personal goals and current level of Fitness.

This program development has been underway for several months and we are proud to officially announce it's release. This is one more step to increase your success, your safety, and your balanced fitness gains in the C5 program!
